I hold a BA in Journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill and a Master’s in English and Creative Writing at North Carolina State University. I’ve enjoyed freelancing for more than
9 years now, and I’ve been blessed with a wide range of projects, from working as the managing editor for the national KFC franchisee magazine to writing about business and real estate for the Raleigh News & Observer. I’ve also worked in conjunction with artists and designers on annual reports and corporate publications. I write often for Cary Living, Pinehurst Magazine, Midtown Magazine, The Cary News,
North Carolina State University, Smithfield's Chicken 'N Bar-B-Q
and QSR Magazine (a national trade magazine for restaurant executives and operators). I work with most of my clients for years, typically until they bring the work in-house. I’ve had a few offers to join the office ranks, but I can’t bring myself to do it.
I live in Apex, North Carolina with my husband and young son. Since our son is an only child, we call the dog “Sister.” We’re a bit wacky that way. I love to read, work out and spend time with friends and family.
