Welcome to my site! My name is Christa Gala, and I’m a full-time professional freelance writer. The bulk of my work is with local and regional publications in the North Carolina area, but I write for several national trade magazines as well. (Check out my Resume and Bio pages for credentials). Additionally, I write and edit business copy, including annual reports and promotional materials, and also write those nifty passages kids have to read on standardized tests. I’m lucky enough to have my own column in the Cary News and QSR Magazine and also write twice monthly for the Raleigh News & Observer. Occasionally, I’ll do week-long teaching residencies with middle school students, but when they start driving me crazy, I gratefully jump back in the writer’s chair. It’s a great gig, and I love it. Please, get comfy and have a look around my site. I’m always eager to take on new projects, whether editorial or corporate.
